Axiom Technologies Inc. 2001 – Present

• Created a number of test automation scripts at a client company using Rational Robot. Created a library of reusable functions to be used in the scripts for ease of maintenance. Enhanced the error reporting by custom designing the error messages.
• Conducted the testing of various internet based projects until their successful launch. These projects involved applications with VB front end and SQL 7.0/IBM mainframe platforms in the back end.
• Implemented a matrix form to write test scenarios so that one test scenario could be incorporated in one row of a spreadsheet. This enabled us to have a large number of test scenarios in one place, easily verify the test coverage and add new scenarios with ease. This also reduced the time required for preparation of test scripts.
• Led a major project and prepared a test plan and test scripts for the project.
• Coordinated among the business analysts and programmers of front end, database and IBM Mainframe.
• Performed customer support and issue resolution activities.

Answer Financial Inc. 2000 – 2001

• Managed the testing efforts in successful launching of a major internet based project involving three lines of business with ASP/JSP front end and NT/SQL 7.0 platforms in the back end.
• Prepared and managed testing schedules during the project. Prepared test plan and test scripts for the project.
• Participated in the prioritization of software bugs and communicated testing efforts to the owners of the different lines of business.
• Trained a number of people in the use of software and writing of test scripts. Also, enhanced the testing skills of my team on an ongoing basis.

• Prepared documents on the test automation approach and scripting standards. Implemented a process for preparing algorithms and flow charts and reviewing them before writing complex functions.
• Created a function library where all the functions used by different projects were stored. Developed functions so that they could be used for future projects.
• Created automation scripts for a large and complex line of business. Kept the main objectives of the scripts as ease of use, maintenance and be able to be used as a template for other lines of business.
• Separated test data from the scripts and kept it in MS Access database where test scenarios could be created. Made the tables easy for anybody to create additional scenarios.

• Made sure that the scripts handled a variety of different scenarios and reported any unusual behavior of the applications. Ran approximately 600 different scenarios continuously over a period of two days.

• Lead the testing efforts in Y2K compliance testing of a client company. Reviewed the testing progress of my team. Successfully completed the testing well before deadline. Managed the application errors that arose during testing.
• Automated a number of web based lines of businesses. Streamlined and maintained test automation scripts. Made sure that the scripts were compatible with all the environments that the Client Company was supporting. Resolved a number of issues related to the test automation software.
• Devised and implemented a procedure for using automation scripts in testing cycles.

Deloitte & Touche Tax Technologies LLC 1998-1999

• Prepared test procedures for testing a number of components of a client-server Tax software.
• Trained the testing team in writing test procedures and reviewed their test procedures.
• Conducted integration and system testing for issues in GUI, software functionality and network access.
• Trained four testers in the use of tax software. Trained them in testing methodologies and reviewed their testing progress. Created reports of project completeness.
• Completed installation testing of the software on a number of platforms in a timely manner.

• Developed test scripts for testing of GUI, calculation engine and installation of a client-server based chemical industry related simulation software.
